What kind of place
A village corner, not a postcard
Adria sits on a cobbled crossroads in Gardone Sopra: yellow facade, geraniums on the windowsills, the arch with TRATTORIA written across it that you spot from down the street. Inside, it is home cooking — checked tablecloths, full plates, people dropping in just for a coffee.
It is a trattoria, a pizzeria and a bar at the same address. Visitors on their way to the Vittoriale stop here before or after; locals come back on a Wednesday evening without thinking about it.
The lake on the plate
Garda sardines, trout, casoncelli
Lake Garda comes into the kitchen with the sardines that dress fresh egg bigoli, and with trout — turned into a ragù for bronze-cut maccheroncini, or served whole from the grill.
Alongside them, the Brescia tradition: casoncelli made locally, with butter and sage. And the wines of the lake — Groppello, Lugana — that know this water by heart.

A few things, done properly
The card is long because this is a village place and everyone should find their dish: carbonara with crispy guanciale, gnocchi del boscaiolo with gorgonzola and truffle, seasonal vegetables off the grill, tiramisù in a jar.

Pizzeria
Late in the evening, even just a margherita
Classic dough, oven lit every evening: from a 6-euro marinara to the Lazio with guanciale and pecorino romano DOP. The signature pizzas carry the names of Italian regions; the D'Annunzio, with zucchini cream and cherry tomatoes, carries the name of the most famous neighbour.
